Frequently Asked Questions

If your question isn't here, feel free to reach out.

How long does this take?

Most people finish in about 10 minutes. You upload your photos, fill in some details about your loved one, pick a theme, and we handle the rest. The actual slideshow gets built in under a minute.

What do I actually get?

A .pptx file (a PowerPoint presentation). You can open it in Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, or LibreOffice. It's the same format most funeral homes already use, so it should work on their equipment without any fuss.

How many photos should I use?

Anywhere from 5 to 50. If you're not sure, 20-30 is usually the sweet spot. Enough to tell the story without rushing through. The AI figures out a good order and layout for whatever you give it.

Can I change things after it generates?

Yes. Before you download, you can edit any of the captions, quotes, or section titles right in the browser. And once you have the PowerPoint file, you can open it up and change anything you want.

Do I have to make an account?

Nope. You just start. We save your progress automatically using your browser, so you can close the tab and come back later without losing anything.

Will this work at the funeral home?

That's specifically what we built it for. We only use fonts that come pre-installed with PowerPoint, keep the transitions simple, and embed everything into the file. No internet connection needed to play it.

What about music?

We don't bake audio into the file because that tends to cause problems on funeral home equipment. Instead, we suggest songs that fit your loved one. Most venues prefer to run the music through their own sound system anyway.

When do I have to pay?

Not until you're happy with what you see. Creating and previewing the slideshow is completely free. You only pay when you want to download the actual PowerPoint file.

What if I need the slideshow tomorrow?

You can have it done tonight. The whole process (uploading photos, filling in details, generating, previewing) takes about 10 minutes. Once you pay, the download is instant.

What happens to my photos?

They're stored securely and only used to build your slideshow. We don't use them for anything else, and we don't share them. You can read the full details in our privacy policy.

16:9 or 4:3 - which do I pick?

Go with 16:9 unless the funeral home specifically told you they have an older projector. Almost all modern TVs and screens are widescreen (16:9).

Can I get a refund?

Since you get to preview everything before paying, we don't typically offer refunds. But if something is genuinely broken or you're having technical problems, reach out and we'll make it right.
